Portfolio for Matthew Trevino

This was more so a showcase of my editing and motion graphic capabilities which ended up being in the final cut of African Connection - a series by AB Sallu. I was the lead editor, colorist, music supervisor, and title graphic designer.

This was an exceptionally fun project. I was production designer and post production lead (editor, sound designer, music supervisor) for this four-part series about a family who's parents rooted in African tradition and settled in America and the stories their children share with the current culture. We shot this entirely using Canon T2i DSLR Technology and recorded sound with a Zoom H4n and one Sennheiser shotgun mic with boom. I was the editor of this trailer. Edited using Vegas Pro Suite.

My key role on this project was film editor and sound and music engineer. This was a very interesting project in terms of how the script I was supposed to have got lost in the mail but I couldn't let that hold up production so I was actually able to edit just based off the expressions and reactions by the actors. I assumed there would be MANY changes after but my director Jerry Padney was impressed with my ability to do what I did simply off viewing the clips by themselves. This was shot in Nigeria and I had no part of principal photography. All I had was my eye. Edited using Vegas Pro Suite.
